The TiVo box and the TiVo service allows customers to record, rewind, and pause live television. It is also possible to have a portion of a movie or television show played in slow motion. All TiVo machines record up to forty, eighty, or even three hundred hours of television programming.
This year TiVo recently combined their traditional box with a new DVD Recorder. The TiVo machine not only stores up to three hundred hours of television shows and movies, but it allows the same shows to be burned to a standard DVD. Although this feature is fairly new it is already flying off the shelves and being ordered by individuals all across the country.
Since it is possible that many individuals may forget to set their TiVo box to start recording the makers of TiVo have made it possible to not have to worry about remembering. TiVo customers can participate in a Season Pass program. The Season Pass allows members to only enter in the programs that they want recorded once. After that one time the TiVo box will automatically record the remaining shows for the rest of the television season.
The TiVo service must be purchased directly through TiVo; however, it is possible to purchase the box from multiple locations. The TiVo box can be purchased directly from the online TiVo store or it can be purchased from retailers such as Circuit City and Best Buy.
